Variety has reported that Kathryn Newton is joining the cast of Legendary’s live-action Detective Pikachu film as the head female lead. Kathryn will be co-star alongside the main lead male character, which will be portrayed by Justice Smith.
As reported earlier the film will be directed by Rob Letterman and the script will be written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch. The live-action Detective Pikachu film will be distributed by Universal Pictures outside of Japan while the film will distributed by Toho in Japan.
Currently no other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
