The recent issue of the Weekly Shōnen magazine has revealed that Atsuo Ueda will be launching the sequel to Hiro’s Mashima’s Fairy Tail manga series in the Magazine Pocket manga app on July 25. The first chapter of the sequel series will also be published in the 34th issue of the magazine on the same day. Mashima will be working on the original storyboard for the manga and Ueda will be working on the illustrations.
A spin-off project for the Fairy Tail franchise titled, “Fairy Tail: Happy’s Grand Adventure (Fairy Tail: Happy no Daibōken),” illustrated by Kenshiro Sakamoto is stated to be released “soon. The spin-off will focus on Happy as the main character. Another spin-off manga titled, “Fairy Tail City Hero,” written and illustrated by Ushio Andō will be released this Fall.
