Earlier today, Disney Pixar updated their official Youtube channel with the first full teaser trailer for Lightyear. For those who are not aware, the film is based on the character Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story franchise. While the character was originally voiced by Tim Allen in the films and various associated projects, Chris Evans will be voicing the character in “Lightyear.” Lightyear will premiere in theaters in Summer 2022.
Seeing the trailer I think the film looks alright, however I personally do not think the character needed a film in this fashion. Other than that I think I will still end up watching it seeing as Buzz Lightyear was my most favorite character in the Toy Story films growing up. Other than that there is not much else to comment on so we shall see how this film will play out.
